Red Hot Chili Peppers


Red Hot Chili Peppers is a rock band from the United States formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1983. The group's musical style primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on funk, as well as elements from other genres such as punk, rap, metal and psychedelic rock. [2] The band consists of founding members Anthony Kiedis (vocals) and Flea (bass), alongside longtime drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. [3]
The original lineup contained on guitar Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons on drums, despite not having participated in the group's debut album, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Cliff Martinez was the drummer for the first two albums, replacing Irons, and guitarist Jack Sherman, who played only the first album. Slovak attended two albums with the band, Freaky Styley and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan, he died of a heroin overdose in 1988, resulting in the departure of Irons. DH Peligro was briefly in the band before the band found a permanent replacement, Chad Smith. John Frusciante replaced Slovak. This lineup recorded Mother's Milk (1989), Blood Sugar Fri Magik (1991), Californication (1999), By The Way (2002) and Stadium Arcadium (2006).
